JAKARTA Meta adds the number of links that can be added to the biodata, often abbreviated as a bio, Threads. With this increase, users can add more than one link.
Previously, Threads users could only add one link to the profile biodata, but now it's no longer. Similar to the link sharing ability on Instagram, Threads users can already add five links to their profile page.
"Now, you can add up to five links to your biodata, which will help your community find podcasts, articles, newsletters, and more, so they can learn about you and the topics you are interested in," Meta said, quoted on Friday, May 16.
As Meta explains, the company provides five link slots with various options. Users can choose options for newsletter links, podcasts, articles, and merchandise.

By providing more link slots, Meta believes that Threads users can expand the reach of their accounts. This feature will be very useful for creators or business accounts who want to reach new users.
Meta also provides information about link visitors. They will not display any accounts that open profile links in the user's bio, but only show how many people have opened the link.
"We want Threads to be a place that helps you develop your reach, even outside of Threads. You can also see how many people have visited the links you shared, either in your bio or in posts," Threads explained.
