JAKARTA The European Space Agency (ESA) has agreed to partner with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The two space agencies have signed a Statement of Will for Cooperation.
Through this partnership, ESA and ISRO will focus on exploring Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Both will take advantage of their respective spacecraft in carrying out the interoperability of the meeting system and dock in the area.
In addition, these two institutions will also collaborate in astronaut training, an analog space mission that is used as a place to test various aspects of space missions in the form of land simulations, to parabolic flight activities.
The ESA that signed the contract was the Director General of ESA Josef Aschbacher. This statement of the Will of Cooperation was signed when Josef attended the Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX) which was held some time ago in New Delhi.

"The partnership has allowed us to reach a major milestone that we cannot imagine if done alone. ESA collaboration with international partners such as ISRO is an example of the power of expertise and shared resources," Josef explained.
He added that collaboration with ISRO can help ESA in implementing various important programs. They can also carry out new missions that are in line with international partnership commitments.
ESA has also discussed opportunities for ESA astronauts flights to Bharatiya Space Station (BAS) with ISRO. For other important missions, ESA and ISRO have discussed aligning robotic payloads and scientific missions to the Moon in the future.
