JAKARTA - Amazon Web Services (AWS) officially launched Nova Reel 1.1, the latest generative AI model capable of creating videos with a longer duration of up to two minutes, and using only text descriptions.
Nova Reel was first introduced at the Amazon re:Invent 2024 event. This latest version presents an improvement in visual quality and speed in the process of making videos, especially for clips of 6 seconds per scene.
"Compared to Amazon Nova Reel 1, this update allows you to make multi-scene videos of up to two minutes with a consistent visual style across scenes," the company wrote in its official blog on Monday, April 7.
The tech giant claims that Amazon Nova Reel can increase creative productivity, as well as help reduce video production time and cost by utilizing generative AI.
AWS also believes that Nova Reel is very suitable for marketing content production, product design, and social media content more efficiently and with greater creative control.
For example, in advertising campaigns, you can generate high-quality video ads with visuals and timings that consistently use natural languages, Amazon added.
Currently, Nova Reel 1.1 is available on Amazon Bedrock for AWS data center areas in Virginia, United States with a pay-as-you-go price system. This means that users only pay according to usage.
