Strengthening Digital Ecosystem, Huawei Provides Digital Device Donations To Islamic Boarding Schools

JAKARTA - Entering the 25th year of age, through the CSR Huawei 2025 program, Huawei carries out the distribution of digital food donations and nutritious food for Islamic boarding schools in 16 cities in Indonesia.

This initiative is in line with the government, to support the achievement of the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision, Huawei has consistently launched various initiatives to strengthen an inclusive digital ecosystem.

"The initiative, which is part of the 'Huawei I Do Care', aims to support the government's program in creating healthy and quality young genreations," said Kian Chen, Vice President, Huawei Indonesia in a statement received on Friday, March 21.

In addition, Huawei also presents digital talent development programs in various Islamic boarding schools throughout Indonesia. Through this program, Huawei seeks to increase access to technology-based education for students.

The Director of Islamic Boarding Schools of the Directorate General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religion, Basnang Said also emphasized the importance of digitization in Islamic boarding schools as a strategic step in realizing the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

"This is where the importance of pesantren in educating the nation's life through the education sector. However, the majority of pesantren are in rural areas with limited access to technology and infrastructure. Therefore, digitalization efforts must continue to be carried out as Huawei has done," said Basnang.

Meanwhile, Wijaya Kusumawardhana, Expert Staff of the Ministry of Communication & Digital and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed his appreciation for Huawei's move to strengthen digital literacy in Islamic boarding schools.

With various training programs and opportunities to participate in technology competitions at the national and global levels, Huawei seeks to create an ecosystem that allows Indonesia's young generation to develop in the digital era.
