Entering The Finishing Stage, Komdigi Asks BSSN To Ensure Cybersecurity Of PDN Cikarang

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, emphasized that currently the construction of the Cikarang National Data Center (PDN) has entered the finishing stage.

Nezar admitted that the Ministry of Komdigi still had to ensure the cyber security of PDN with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), considering the ransomware incident that happened to PDNS in June last year.

"It's just finishing, yes, we just have to try to re-examine all the requirements, before the PDN will be operated," Nezar said after the launch of the Indonesia Cyber Crime Combat Center (IC4) on Tuesday, February 25 in Jakarta.

According to Nezar, BSSN will help ensure cybersecurity of the Cikarang ODN is in accordance with their safety standards so as to prevent future cyber attacks.

"We have asked BSSN for help to conduct a kind of review of how the instruments to prevent cyber crime or cyber attacks can be fulfilled by PDN, yes," he added.

Meanwhile, Menkomdigi Meutya Hafid has also confirmed that PSN Cikarang is targeted to be operational by the end of March 2025.

Nezar has also confirmed the inauguration schedule. "Yes March," he said. However, Nezar did not reveal whether the inauguration would be carried out at the beginning or end of the month.

This Cikarang PDN is equipped with 20 Mega Watt (MW) and is built on land measuring 5000 hectares, with a total building area of 16,000 square meters, at the Greenland International Industrial Center, Deltamas, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.
