Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Comes With Various Improvements, But Battery Capacity Remains The Same

JAKARTA - Samsung is rumored to be bringing a number of improvements to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but its battery capacity will still remain the same as the previous generation. The Galaxy Z Fold series continues to develop from year to year, although the innovation offered by the South Korean company is quite slow compared to competitors.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6, which was released in 2024, brought some welcome changes, but still considered less superior to its competitors. Now, the latest leak reveals that Samsung plans to bring a significant improvement to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Thiner Design And Camera Improvement

Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will adopt several elements of the Galaxy Z Fold SE released last year. This includes a thinner design, a larger screen, and a change in how S Pen works in order to maintain a slimmer device profile.

Leaker Setsuna Digital on Weibo revealed that Samsung will also bring other improvements, including better hinges (possibly reducing folding on screens), improvements in the main camera and under-screen camera, as well as increased resilience to water and dust. All these changes have long been awaited by loyal users of the Galaxy Z Fold.

The Galaxy Z Fold SE previously came with an 8-inch display and a 200MP main camera, so it is likely that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also bring specifications closer to the model.

Battery Still 4,400 mAh

However, one thing that won't change is battery capacity. This report claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will still use a 4,400 mAh battery that has been in use since the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in 2021. The charging speed is also not expected to increase.

Samsung is expected to launch its newest Galaxy Z Fold line this year. Users who expect an increase in battery life may have to be a little disappointed, but an increase in other sectors could be the main attraction for Samsung's latest generation of foldable phones.
