JAKARTA Google, via email sent to all Gemini users, said that the Live feature of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based chatbot received an update starting Thursday, February 13.

In the email VOI received, the company explained that it had upgraded Gemini with the 'new model'. It was not stated what model they were using, but it appeared to refer to the expansion of the Gemini 2.0 model.

Google says that the launch of the latest AI model makes Gemini Live have more dynamic and interesting conversations. In addition, the Live feature also gets a better understanding of language.

"Live (now) can better understand various languages, dialects, or accents in one Live chat and help your translation needs," Google wrote in its letter. That way, Gemini's translation ability becomes more accurate than ever before.

In addition to announcing Live updates, Google revealed that it will bring new capabilities to Gemini Live. These capabilities are screen sharing and live video streaming.

Google also discusses Gemini's application privacy. To improve the user experience, Gemini will now save its users' audio, video, and screen sharing into Gemini App Activities.

This storage is done if the user activates the feature. Although stored, user data in Gemini App Activities will be deleted according to the automatic delete period set in the settings. Users can delete their data at any time.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
