JAKARTA After being tested last December, the feature to schedule posts was finally launched in stages in Threads. Users can now set when their posts will be posted to the public.

The post scheduling feature will be visible when the user creates a new post as usual. They will see an additional menu in the three-dot icon located at the top left corner. After that, select Schedule and the user will be asked to set the time.

This microblog platform, which is integrated with Instagram, allows the scheduling of posts up to 75 days earlier. Users can also choose what time the post wants to be displayed. This scheduled upload feature only applies to regular posts.

Users will not be able to create scheduled replies. After the scheduled post has been created, this post will be saved in the draft. As long as it has not been uploaded, users can still see, delete, and edit their posts.

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, through his official account, said that scheduling posts is not the only feature that is launched. Threads also get other features such as metrics in each post and the ability to tag posts.

"Now you can schedule posts on Threads and (see) metrics for each post launched via Insights. We also add the ability to 'mark' the posts you share again," Mosseri said on Friday, January 24.

Mosseri did not explain which countries had got all these new features. However, he said that several other countries were 'will follow soon'. Therefore, we need to wait until the features are widely available.
