The Meta Quest App Will Change Its Name To Horizon

JAKARTA Meta, the company that oversees Facebook and Instagram, will change the name of the Meta Quest mobile app in the near future. This app will change its name to Meta Horizon.

After changing its name, its application function will remain the same and no reduced features. This Meta Horizon is still needed to prepare and manage Meta's Mixed Reality (MR) headset, namely Quest.

"You can still easily browse our library which contains 500+ immersive experiences and MR uses the application search function and Store, with thousands more coming soon," Meta said in its official broadcast.

There is a slight update that users will feel when accessing Meta Horizon. The company added a special tab to customize avatars and complete the Meta Horizon Worlds mission to unlock the latest avatar style and item.

"Now you can explore and join the new world of apps, connect with friends through music, games, and more," explains Meta.

Another update that will be added to Meta Horizon is the bright mode to update the appearance and feel of the app. If the bright mode makes the screen too bright, users can switch to dark mode in the settings.

Meta does not explain the update date of its application. However, this change will be visible to all users on iOS or Android. Once the name is changed, users can only search for Meta Horizon on the App Store or Google Play Store.
