The IPhone Folding Screen Design Will Be Similar To The Galaxy Z Flip

JAKARTA - Apple is predicted to soon launch a folding screen iPhone. Reportedly the iPhone will carry a clamshell design for its folding screen cellphone.

This news was revealed from a whistleblower Jon Prosser's cellphone information. According to him, the iPhone folding screen phone will be similar to the design of the Galaxy Z Flip by Samsung.

"From the size and shape of the square, this device looks similar to the Galaxy Z Flip," said Prosser in a YouTube channel upload Front Page Tech.

In terms of design, the new cellphone from Apple will have a horizontal folding screen mechanism like a flip phone. Through the video, you can see the front screen of the cellphone which has an elongated shape when the screen is stretched.

Meanwhile, the rear camera has a square shape. This shape is similar to that of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12. At the top in the framing area of the cellphone there are two buttons whose function is unknown.

Prosser estimates that Apple will partner with Samsung as a supplier of cellphone components, namely the folding screen. Previously, the South Korean tech giant, namely Samsung, had already supplied OLED screens for the iPhone XS and XS Max, as reported by Forbes.

This foldable iPhone phone is claimed to offer more color variants for various target consumers.

“One of the goals of this folding iPhone is to offer a variety of colors, like most iPhone models. The goal is to tell who this phone will be marketed to, "Prosser said.

In June last year, Prosser revealed that Apple is developing a folding iPhone prototype. Prosser also added that this cellphone from Apple will have 2 different screens and can be connected using a hinge.

Prosser also explained that the foldable iPhone will not have a notch design. The cellphone will only use a small space that functions for Face ID. However, until now Apple has not announced official information regarding rumors of a folding cellphone being developed by the company.
