JAKARTA - Apple announced the iPhone 12 mini in October 2020. This device has a Dual-Camera setup, unlike the 'Pro' series variants which have three cameras. Today, DxOMARK, a well-known benchmark site has posted its camera test results.

DxOMark is often used as a reference for assessing cameras, not only cameras on cellphones but also DSLR and mirrorless. They test many aspects of the camera, including exposure, color, texture, noise, artifacts, zoom, and much more.

According to the DxOMark report, the iPhone 12 Mini got an overall score of 122 points. With this score, the iPhone 12 Mini is outside the top 10. However, the score is actually equivalent to its sibling, the iPhone 12.

In comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are in the top 10 with 128 points and 130 points, respectively. Currently, the crown is held by the Huawei Mate 40 Pro + with 139 points.

As mentioned above, the iPhone 12 Mini's score is similar to the iPhone 12 which is divided into 3 categories namely 132, 41, and 112 for the photo, zoom, and video categories.

Even in terms of performance, the report says that this Mini model is nearly identical to the iPhone 12 with good, accurate results and precise exposure in most conditions.

Before we describe the advantages and disadvantages of the iPhone 12 Mini, let's take a peek at the camera specifications which consist of:
