JAKARTA - Meta announced an NFT-related update in its app. On Monday, August 29, now Facebook and Instagram users can post their digital collection.

The post then allows someone to connect their digital wallet once to one of the apps to share their digital collection in both.

"As we continue to launch digital collections on Facebook and Instagram, we start giving people the ability to post digital collections they have on Facebook and Instagram. This will allow people to connect their digital wallet once to one of the apps to share their digital collections on both," Meta said in its announcement.

The ability to post digital collections on Facebook and Instagram by everyone is a series of Meta attempts that wish to add digital collections on all of its platforms.

Looking back, last March, Mark Zuckerberg revealed his plans to bring NFT's digital collection to Instagram. Then in May, Instagram first tested NFT for select users.

In June, Zuckerberg put more people in his test, and said NFT would soon be on Facebook. That same month, Facebook began displaying digital collections to users in the US on a limited basis.

The latest news, Meta launched NFT support on Instagram in 100 countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and America. To post a digital collection, all you need to do is connect your digital wallet to Instagram and Facebook.

Meta's digital collection supports connections with third-party digital wallets including Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper Wallet coming soon. Blockchain currently supported includes Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow. No fees related to posting or sharing digital collections on Instagram.
