JAKARTA – The meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) is undergoing significant developments lately. Director of the Dogecoin Foundation, Timothy Stebbing announced the latest development of DOGE on August 14 yesterday. He revealed that one of DOGE's developers, Shafil Alam, managed to compile libdogcoin for Android and iOS.

According to Stebbing, this “shows the power of libdogecoin to take Dogecoin development into new realms… so many ways to build new DOGE apps.”

As reported by UToday, Libdogecoin v0.1 is a Dogecoin C library of building blocks that allows direct integration of Dogecoin to multiple platforms without requiring developers to have deep blockchain knowledge. It has just been released, according to an announcement made by core developer Michi Lumin in early August.

In programming languages, a library is a collection of code collected in a namespace, module, or package that can be imported into other programs. The latest DOGE development is claimed to make it easier for anyone to build DOGE applications.

Libdogecoin will allow anyone to easily design a product that conforms to the Dogecoin standard because it is a pure library. The adoption following the integration highlights the main utility-focused approach of the Dogecoin Foundation.

This is believed to help the community's ability to innovate by making Dogecoin's core functionality available as a live C library with bindings for multiple languages. Libdogecoin also serves as the basis for projects such as RadioDoge and GigaWallet that aim to bring the Dogecoin ecosystem to a state ready for rapid adoption.

In recent months, the DOGE development team has been actively developing within the Dogecoin ecosystem. They also successfully tested RadioDoge, GigaWallet, and several developments related to the Libdogocoin project.

Last April, the development team succeeded in sending DOGE coins without using the internet, using only RadioDOGE signals. This is a historic moment in the development of the meme coin.

The Dogecoin Foundation's mission is to make DOGE a global medium of exchange for goods and services. The crypto meme has the backing of prominent figures including Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk and Dallas Maverick NBA club owner Mark Cuban.

Currently, Tesla itself has accepted DOGE for merchandise payments and an underground passage called LOOP.
