JAKARTA - Ahead of its launch, Sony shared more details about the people behind him Stray via the PlayStation blog, a few days ago.

In this game, you will become a stray cat that has no name. Even so, developer BlueTwelve Studio shared the inspiration for making this Stray.

They mentioned that the main real-life inspiration behind the creation of this beautiful video game character was Murtaugh.

Murtaugh is the co-founder (Viv and Koola) of two completely lost cats that were found in the streets near the city of Montpellier, France under a car. Although not directly produced by Murtaugh, he was definitely a major inspiration during the game's development.

"While we're not aiming for a 100% exact representation, having a character that feels so believable especially to cat owners who are used to seeing them every day takes a lot of work," explains Swann Martin-Raget, Producer of BlueTwelve Studio.

Therefore, they wanted to make the visuals of the cats in the game look as realistic as possible. To that end, the developer introduced Miko as a cat animator in the Stray game.

Interestingly, when looking for inspiration, Miko is accompanied by a Sphynx cat named Oscar. The studio claims that Oscar helped Miko as an actual reference to some of the cat's jumps and runs.

There's also Remi, who helps Miko as a cat programmer adjust the cat's basic movements and adjusts it some small jumps and transitions to find the perfect point between animation and fun and responsive gameplay.

Apparently, the job of making a real cat animation possible is not an easy job. Stray will be available starting July 19 with PlayStation Extra and Premium membership plans at no additional cost.
