The IGDX 2022 Ready To Recruit Game Developers From Indonesia For The World

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) together with the Indonesian Game Association (AGI) again held the 2022 Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX).

IDGX is an annual event that is part of a sustainable effort to improve the technical quality and business capabilities of Indonesian game developers.

This year, is the third time the Ministry of Communication and Information and AGI has held an IGDX. IDGX was first successfully held in 2019 in Bandung. This event brought together many stakeholders of the game, national and global industry, to share valuable knowledge and build networks with hundreds of Indonesian game developers.

In 2021, the ERX will run on a larger scale by combining offline activities on the ground and a series of online meetings that include the ERX Academy, IGDX Business, IGDX Conference and recently added, the IGNX Career.

The Director of Digital Economy of the Ministry of Communication and Information, I Nyoman Adhiarna, explained the details of the series of IGDX 2021 events, where in the ERX Academy, there were 15 advanced level gaming studios, and 9 studios at the intermediate level.

At the ERX Career, there are 29 game companies that want to recruit employees for game development. Of the number of companies, there are 96 job vacancies that are attended by 341 participants.

There are 35 game developers and 112 game industry players involved in the 2021 IGDX Business. While in the IDGX Conference, there are 1.282 registrants and 40 excavators.

Seeing the success of the previous IGDX event, the Ministry of Communication and Information and AGI again held the 2022 IGDX. Starting this July, the Ministry of Communication and Information has opened registrations for the ERX Academy and IGDX Career.

The highlight event for the ERX Business and Developer Conference will take place from October 14 to 15 and October 15 to 16 at the Bali Stones.

This year, companies that signed up for the IDGX Academy level Advanced, they will be hosted by 15 professional mentors in their fields. While at the Intermediate level will be mentored by 9 professional mentors.

"With the ERX, with a fairly high exposure, parents can understand that there is a career path in the game industry," said Luhat Sihombing, Head of the Business Matchmaking Team of the Ministry of Communication and Information.
