JAKARTA - OpenSea has changed like an online selling site in line with the rising trend of buying and selling NFTs in Indonesia. This is marked by several unusual items such as chickens to Vespas that are sold on the platform.

NFT products themselves are usually digital works of art in the form of paintings, music, or photos. The sale of some of these unusual products made the citizens of the country in a commotion.

One that catches the eye is the chicken. The chicken product is entitled "Pama's Chicken" which is sold at a pretty fantastic price, 20 ethereum.

In addition to chickens, there are also those who sell Vespa. Mikail24's account is selling a dark blue sprint vespa for 0.03 ethereum.

Some time ago, there were also other unusual items for sale such as seblak and cilor food at OpenSea. Clothing did not escape the sale of goods on the site.

One thing that surprised netizens was the sale of personal ID cards on OpenSea. This has become a hot topic on social media in recent days.

Ministry of Communication and Informatics Responses to NFT Sales Trends

Responding to the rampant sales of NFT, the Ministry of Communication and Information has also spoken about this phenomenon. Dedy Permadi as a spokesman for the Ministry of Communication and Information issued press release No. 9/HM/KOMINFO/01/2022 on 16 January.

Quoted from its official website, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics appealed to the NFT transaction site to ensure that its platform does not facilitate the dissemination of content that violates laws and regulations. Furthermore, it includes violations of the provisions on the protection of personal data, to violations of intellectual property rights.

Dedy also reminded the public to be wiser in responding to the current NFT trend. So, it does not cause negative effects and violations of the law.

"The Ministry of Communication and Information urges the public to be able to respond to trends in NFT transactions more wisely so that the economic potential of using NFT does not cause negative impacts or violate the law, and continues to improve digital literacy so that they are more capable of using digital technology in a productive and conducive manner," said Dedy.
