JAKARTA – In the midst of the NFT fever, social media platform Reddit is reportedly looking for new employees to design non-fungible tokens or NFTs. Reddit is looking for a senior backend engineer on its platform responsible for “millions of users to create, buy, sell, and use NFT-based digital goods.”

To occupy the position, applicants must have at least 5 years experience in backend development and have the ability “to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load,” Cointelegraph reported.

Reddit wrote in a job posting on Greenhouse that “NFT will grow and play a critical role in supporting creators and communities in the future.”

In recent years the Reddit discussion forums have become a unifier of crypto users, this happened to the Dogecoin (DOGE) community who managed to pump up their crypto.

In addition, a number of crypto exchanges are also working on launching their own NFTs. Another social media platform, Facebook, designed a crypto wallet called Novi that could possibly support NFT. In addition, Twitter is also reportedly trying to allow its users to display NFT in their profile pictures.

It doesn't stop there, the short video platform TikTok doesn't want to be left behind. They will sell their best short videos in NFT form. Knowing the response of a number of social media platforms, Reddit is openly saying that "the NFT movement is just getting started."
