JAKARTA - Bank BTPN's digital banking application, Jenius, has a new feature, namely Jenius QR. As the name implies, this feature allows users to make non-cash transactions based on QR Code.
According to Bank BTPN's Digital Banking Business Product Head, Waasi Sumintardja, the presence of Jenius QR is an effort to support the government in adapting to a new habit. By minimizing physical contact, as well as making non-cash transactions.
"With the trend of WFO (Work From Office), face-to-face transactions are also occurring. This feature makes it easy for users to transact anywhere face-to-face without physical contact, without switching applications, can be used at merchants or stores that already use the QRIS network," Waasi said as quoted by Antara, Monday, July 24.
This brand-new Jenius feature allows all non-cash payment transactions, in the form of digital wallet services based on the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS), such as GoPay, OVO, and DANA.
Users can make payments by scanning QRIS. To start paying with this feature, users can first update the application, then enter the Jenius application.
After that, select the option "Pay with QR," then point the smartphone camera at the QRIS code. Next, enter the amount, then select "Continue," then select "Pay."
"The hope is that users do not need to switch applications, do not need to top up," said Waasi. Furthermore, he said there were no admin fees when making transactions using the Jenius QR feature.
Users can make a minimum payment of IDR 1,000 with a maximum payment limit of IDR 2 million at all QRIS merchants throughout Indonesia, for various types of transactions.
QRIS payment with Jenius will deduct your Active Balance and every transaction will be recorded in Moneytory immediately, so that users can find out and track expenses more easily.
QRIS payment with Jenius also features layered security in the form of biometric fingerprint / face sensor and PIN. Users can also take advantage of transaction authentication (entering a password every time they want to make a payment) by setting limits as needed.
"Security is always our priority. We are trying to improve security, and we must protect this security together. Users must also take care of transaction security, such as PINs," said Waasi.
For now, this feature is only available in the Jenius app on Android. As for the iOS version, this feature will be available in the next few days.
