Missing Tweeting, Donald Trump Forces Judge To Ask Twitter To Restore His Account

JAKARTA - Former US President Donald Trump has asked a federal judge in Florida to force Twitter to restore his account, which the company suspended in January following the deadly attack on the US Capitol building in Washington DC.

Trump's attorneys on Friday September 1 then filed a motion in US District Court in Miami, seeking justice in the initial order of Twitter and its CEO, Jack Dorsey. According to the motion, they argued that Twitter censored Trump in violation of First Amendment Rights.

The microblogging platform did permanently ban Trump from the platform days after his followers stormed the Capitol, trying to block Congress from authorizing US President Joe Biden's victory.

Quoted from CBS News, Monday, October 3, the company fears that Trump will further fuel further violence. Prior to the ban, Trump had about 89 million followers on Twitter. Not only Twitter, Facebook and YouTube also suspended their accounts.

It was due to similar concerns that he would provoke violence on all his social media. The Facebook ban will only last two years, until January 7, 2023, after which the company will review the suspension. However, the YouTube ban is unlimited.

In July, Trump also filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the three tech companies and their CEOs, claiming that he and other conservatives had been wrongly censored. The motion for a preliminary injunction was filed as part of Trump's case against Twitter.

As reported by The Guardian, Trump's Twitter account is a hallmark of his candidacy for the presidency in 2016 and one he has continued to use throughout his tenure as president. He uses it to attack enemies and dominate the news cycle.

His tweets are also often found insulting someone and inviting anger. Even Trump often posts dangerous racist and provocative content about anything. Starting from immigration to the origins of the corona virus, to urging people to fight against the governor of the Democratic Party some time ago. Unfortunately, Twitter declined to comment on Trump's submission.
