Instagram Presents A Like Button On The Stories Feature

JAKARTA - Instagram is again working on new capabilities in its Stories feature. Like in Feeds, users can give a Like button on their own or someone else's posts, and now Likes will also apply to Stories.

Quoted from Gadget NDTV, Tuesday, August 31, later, the Like button is expected to appear on the main page of Stories. Users can see the number of Likes received along with other users who gave Likes. Not only that, users can also give lots of Likes to an Instagram Stories upload.

This information was first revealed by the leading developer Alessandro Paluzzi. Through his Twitter account, Paluzzi said, Instagram was developing the ability to give Likes to Stories uploads.

Meanwhile, according to WABetaInfo, this feature is still in the development stage and cannot be seen even in the latest public beta version. However, based on the screenshot Paluzzi shared, the heart icon is right next to the text bar. Its position at the bottom. When the user clicks, it will trigger an animation.

The developer said, users can give a like sign up to several times. Meanwhile, WABetaInfo info also revealed that Instagram Stories owners will not receive Like notifications in DMs, such as when receiving reaction stories.

Interestingly, the likes given by other users will disappear for 48 hours after being viewed. Although this new capability has not been confirmed by Instagram, it is also possible that the appearance could change before its public release.

It is known that until now Instagram has not pinned the Like button on their Stories feature. Users can only provide emojis in reaction to other people's Stories they see, and they will appear in the creator's Direct Messages feature.
