Renault Kiger Will Soon Be Paving In Indonesia In The Near Future, The Price Is Below IDR 290 Million

The Renault Kiger car will soon be launched in Indonesia (Renault)

JAKARTA – SUV cars are starting to enliven the automotive market share in Indonesia, the latest of which is the entry of the Renault Kiger into the country. This was conveyed by the distributor of Renault, namely PT Maxindo Renault Indonesia. Reportedly, the launch of the Renault Kiger itself will be held virtually on Friday, August 27, 2021.

Previously, cars from the SUV class that enlivened Indonesia were the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky and the Nissan Magnite. The Renault Kiger itself is the result of a collaboration between Renault and Nissan, namely the CMF-A+. The car uses a platform similar to the Magnite.

Rudy Salim as Managing Director of Maxindo Renault Indonesia revealed that the price of the Renault Kiger will be priced below IDR 290 million.

"The price of [Renault Kiger] is below Rp. 290 million," said Rudy, quoted from CNN Indonesia.

Kiger has a display that displays a tough impression with the presence of a skid plate. The SUV is also equipped with on the top so it looks dashing, coupled with a spoiler component on the outside of the body.

Kiger is an SUV that can accommodate 5 passengers, has a width of 1,750 mm, a height of 1,600 mm, and a cabin space of 3,990 mm. Slightly wider than the Raize which has a width of 1,710 mm. Kiger in India itself comes in two variants of the 1,000 cc three-cylinder engine, namely turbo and non-turbo or naturally aspirated.

The turbo version itself is capable of producing 98 hp and 160 Nm. While the non-turbo engine is only capable of producing 71 hp and 96 Nm. Renault Kiger comes in two types, namely manual and CVT.

In terms of interior, the Kiger comes with a 7-inch digital instrument panel, complete with Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes. Coupled with an entertainment system that runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Kiger is also equipped with security and safety systems such as airbags for four passengers. There are also a number of safety features such as Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), to Electronic Stability Control (ECS) in the Renault Kiger car.
