JAKARTA - Netflix has started rolling out support for Apple's spatial audio feature on iPhone and iPad. This was revealed by a source at the streaming giant to 9to5Mac on Wednesday, August 18.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed the launch to The Verge and said the rollout would begin Wednesday. But users will have to be patient to be able to see it over the next few days. They may also have it already, as several users on Reddit reported that it worked for them.

Apple's spatial audio, which can only be utilized with AirPods Pro and AirPods Max on iPhone or iPad, is designed to let users feel more immersed in what they're listening to with impressive surround sound effects.

If users want to try spatial audio and don't have it on Netflix yet, then they can try it on other services like Apple TV Plus, Disney Plus, or HBO Max.

In the future, Apple plans to add spatial audio to macOS and tvOS.
