Twitter Adds Co-Host Option For Moderation And Manage Room In Spaces

JAKARTA - After removing Fleets from its application, Twitter is now focusing on its Spaces service. A new feature has been added, which allows hosts to designate up to two accounts as co-hosts in that audio room.

This feature will certainly make it easier for hosts, because co-hosts are tasked with helping manage and moderate conversations. As explained by Twitter, the co-hosts who have been invited have the rights as moderators and manage the room.

Acting like the main host, co-hosts can talk, invite members to speak, pin tweets, remove members from the room, and more.

While not without limits, Twitter doesn't allow the primary co-host to invite a second co-host or remove one. The main co-host also cannot end the event, it only applies to the main host (host).

In addition, the co-host feature also expands the number of participants who can talk at once in Spaces. With two co-hosts that can talk and 10 speakers, the total number of members who can talk is 12. Previously, speakers were limited to 10 people and there were no co-hosts.

This feature is known to be on its way to rollout, and will be useful in helping hosts keep the room under control, especially for larger conversations. With the presence of this feature, it shows how important Twitter views Spaces.
