JAKARTA - It's been two months since Apple released the beta version of iOS 15, and now it's beta 4, the company is bringing some subtle improvements to its photography capabilities.

This improvement is known from a 9to5Mac report, Thursday 5 August, can remove lens flare or flare that may appear in images taken outdoors.

In fact, many iPhone users are used to the flare that always appears when taking pictures with a light source in the shot. But with this upgrade, the flare will no longer be visible.

However, it is not yet known whether this upgrade can be used for all iPhone models. However, the iPhone 12 Mini is confirmed to already support this beta-enhanced photography capability.

However, one Reddit user also reported the removal of flares happening on their iPhone XS, others saying the new capability doesn't work on the iPhone 8 Plus. Chances are, this new capability is still very limited on phones with the A12 Bionic processor or later (XS, XR, and so on).

Unfortunately, this ability to remove flare may not be available for video recording. Because removing flare from 30 or 60 frames per second 4K footage would be a bit more computationally intensive, and have a greater chance of looking a bit odd.

So, it's no surprise that this feature only comes for photos. At least, Apple seems to be trying to eliminate the flare that has been bothering cellphone photography activists.

Besides the ability to remove flare, with iOS 15, Apple paid a lot of attention to the camera features in FaceTime. Portrait video mode (background blur) and sound isolation microphone adjustment are the main functions to come on the new iPhone operating system. There is also a new Live Text feature that allows users to copy text, phone numbers and addresses from the captured photos.
