Realme MagDart Outperforms Apple's MagSafe Wireless Charging Technology

Realme, currently MagDart is only compatible with Flash phones.

JAKARTA - Since Apple's MagSafe is back in a big way with the iPhone 12 series, it's only a matter of time before other phone makers come up with similar solutions. It is proven by Realme which has just announced the MagDart magnetic wireless charging system.

MagDart is part of its newest concept phone, the Realme Flash. According to Realme, currently MagDart is only compatible with Flash phones. Known, MagDart is not only the first of its kind in the Android world, but also more powerful than Apple's MagSafe with a maximum output of 50W instead of just 15W.

This 50W magnetic charger takes advantage of Realme's 65W fast SuperDart charging technology, and has its own air conditioning system for maximum performance. Realme claims that the charging speed with MagDart is almost on par with its 50W SuperDart wired charger. Notably, for the 4,500mAh battery inside the Realme Flash phone, it will charge from zero to 100 percent in under an hour.

Wireless charging is usually much slower than wired charging, but MagDart seems to minimize the difference. The downside of this 50W MagDart charger is its hefty size, but Realme will also offer a slim 15W MagDart charging pad, slightly thinner than Apple's MagSafe charger.

The MagDart Ecosystem also offers several other snap-on accessories such as a Magdart power bank, cases, wallets, and even selfie lights that use the system. This was quoted from Engadget, Wednesday, August 4th.
