JAKARTA - Seeing that last year's enthusiasm was so successful, Tokopedia through the Tokopedia Academy again held the "Start Summit". The event will be held on Saturday, July 3, online.

Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Tokopedia, Leontinus Alpha Edison explained that the Start Summit is a knowledge sharing event at a technology conference. For the first time, the Start Summit was held at the Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta last year.

Leontinus said, this time the 2021 Start Summit carries the theme 'Transforming Indonesia Through Technology' which aims to encourage the growth of digital talent in Indonesia.

“Tokopedia as an Indonesian technology company continues to strive to support the advancement of Indonesia's digital talent and form a collaborative ecosystem. One of them is through the Start Summit, which is a forum for sharing the experiences of technology activists, technology business players, to the digital community, who share the same passion in advancing Indonesia's technology industry," Leontinus said during the online conference "Road to Start Summit 2021", Wednesday 30 June. .

Leontinus explained, there are three main topics that will be discussed at the 2021 Start Summit, namely Core Engineering, Infrastructure and Productivity and Data. Tokopedia's digital talents will share various information ranging from programming, product development, integrated campaign management, multi-cloud strategy and various other innovations.

Besides Leontinus, Tokopedia's CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering, Herman Widjaja, Tokopedia's Vice President of Engineering and Chief of Staff Technology, Aswin Tanu Utomo, and a number of other Tokopedia digital talents will share sessions at the event.

All classes available in the Tokopedia Start Summit 2021 series of activities can be accessed for free. The public only needs to register through the Tokopedia Academy website.

Also conveyed by Herman, Tokopedia openly provides opportunities for other technology companies to collaborate in this Start Summit event.

In addition to the Start Summit, Tokopedia also presents various initiatives for Indonesian digital talents, such as Start Summit Extension, Start Women in Tech, Devcamp, Tokopedia Internship, Product Design Academy, Summer Acceleration Program, collaboration with universities for example in building AI Centers to lecture modules, and many more.

On the other hand, Tokopedia has also presented two initiatives to support the Merdeka Campus Program created by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology RI.

First, the Certified Internship program is available for three fields, namely Software Engineering, Marketing and Business Development. Second, Hackathon Devcamp which is a competition to build products and solutions in a very short time.
