How to Make Group Video Calls Via Telegram

This feature is available in the Telegram app update that the company just launched last Friday. So, if you are interested in making group video calls via Telegram, you must update the app version first.

If you have, you can start a group video call through the profile of the Telegram group that you follow. To do this, tap on the Telegram group photo, then click the three-dot icon located in the upper right corner.

Next, tap the 'Voice Chat' menu with the handset icon. Once the call starts, you will find the Switch Your Video On option on the camera icon. Tap the icon to activate the camera so the call turns into a video call.

Next, you just add the members who will be included in the video call. According to the company's explanation, you can add up to 30 participants and display them directly on a single screen in the form of a grid or small squares.

Add Collaboration Features

During a pandemic, the ease with which virtual collaborations can determine the growth of a platform. So, many platforms add similar features to their services. Telegram is no exception.

The company explained that it has added several features that make collaboration activities easier via Telegram. One of them is the Screen Sharing feature.

Like Google Meet's similar features, users can share their screen contents with other users who are involved in group video calls. Through this feature, users can also make presentations online via Telegram.

To share the Telegram screen during a group video call, users simply tap on the three-dot icon during a call. Next, tap the Share Screen menu. Later, the contents of the user's screen will be displayed and can be seen by all participants of the group video call.

Not only that, the company has also added a noise suppression feature to group video calling services. This feature serves to keep the audio quality clear. To activate it, you can slide the toggle on the Noise Suppression menu located in Settings.
