JAKARTA - MediaTek announced a strategic collaboration with Foxtron Vehicle Technologies, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence (AI) based smart vehicles.
As part of this long-term global partnership, MediaTek's Dimensity AX C-X1 platform, which integrates NVIDIA's leading-edge GPU and advanced AI technology, will be applied to premium automotive solutions in the two companies' ecosystems to deliver a safe and comfortable AI-based driving experience in the vehicle cabin.
This collaboration confirms the transformation of the automotive industry towards vehicles that increasingly rely on AI, so it requires more advanced computing capabilities and stronger ecosystem integration. By combining expertise in the fields of semiconductor innovation, AI infrastructure, automotive platforms, and manufacturing, the two companies are working to accelerate the development of scalable solutions to support a new era of smart mobility.
The MediaTek Dimensity AX C-X1 platform, which uses an advanced 3nm process and leverages GPU, AI, and graphics technology from NVIDIA, is designed to deliver an AI-based cockpit experience with intuitive multimodal interaction; leading connectivity that includes 5G telematics, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth; energy-efficient high-performance computing; and a seamless entertainment experience. The integration of this solution into the FOXTRON automotive solution enables a more responsive driving experience, including intuitive vehicle control, advanced safety features, seamless entertainment, Agenttic AI for more personal interaction between drivers and passengers, and comprehensive telematics support for smart cockpit environments.
