JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) has collaborated with Google in bringing the subscription to the Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) service to its customers in Indonesia.
Through this cooperation, IM3 and Tri customers can access the Gemini feature with various additional benefits by simply purchasing a monthly data package at no additional cost.
"Now IM3 and Tri customers can more easily utilize AI for various daily needs, ranging from helping to complete work, doing school or college assignments, to finding inspiration to create content," said Bilal Kazmi, Director and Chief Commercial Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
Through the purchase of a bundling package on the myIM3 and BIMA+ applications, IM3 and Tri customers can enjoy access to Google Gemini for up to six months.
Google Gemini has various features, one of which is the Deep Research feature which can help users find information, summarize materials, and explore ideas faster and more practically.
Google Gemini is also integrated with various Google services, so customers can enjoy a more convenient experience when studying, working, and creating.
In addition, customers will also get a bonus of 200GB of Google Cloud Storage which can be used to store various important files such as documents, tasks, photos, and videos.
Director of Global Platform & Device Partnerships at Google APAC, Rohan Tiwary, said that this cooperation is a step to expand the adoption of AI in Indonesia.
"With this journey, we make it more inclusive and hopefully we have more customers in Indonesia and around the world," said Rohan.
Both companies also confirmed that Gemini's services will run alongside Indosat's local AI initiatives, including Sahabat AI.
This collaboration is said to be part of an effort to "democratize AI" so that artificial intelligence technology can be more widely accessible to the Indonesian people.
