Salip ChatGPT, Claude Duduki Top of the US App Store

JAKARTA - Anthropic's Claude application managed to take the position of ChatGPT on the US App Store. In a short time, the chatbot managed to occupy the first position in the free app category.

Interestingly, this achievement was achieved after US President Donald Trump ordered all federal agencies to stop using Claude. This conflict actually gave a stage for Anthropic's chatbot.

Based on SensorTower data, as reported by TechCrunch, this ranking increase occurred in a very short time. In January, Claude was outside the top 100. However, within days, Claude was able to occupy the top position.

Although it is now banned for use in US government agencies, Anthropic confirmed that their daily registration numbers continue to break records. Free users are reported to have increased by more than 60 percent compared to January.

"Daily registrations have broken all-time records every day this week," said an Anthropic spokesperson. The company said it was pleased with its app's achievements in a short time.

In addition to free users, the company's number of paid customers also increased twofold this year. This positive trend shows a shift in user interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the US market.

The dispute with the Department of Defense regarding the use of AI for autonomous weapons seems to have attracted public attention. Many new users are curious about how Anthropic developed the AI model.
