JAKARTA - MyRepublic Indonesia officially carried out the MyRepublic Air Service Trial (ULO) in Medan, to provide unlimited internet services based on Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) with True 5G-Fiber Quality and Truly Unlimited technology.
Based on the test results, MyRepublic Air was declared to have passed the Operational Test and met the service quality standards as well as technical and operational regulations.
This service is also able to exceed the minimum download speed standard required by the regulator, with a maximum of 100 Mbps, so that it is officially entitled to obtain an operating license as an FWA service provider.
Attended by the Director General of Digital Ecosystems of the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, this ULO success strengthens the company's strategic steps in expanding reliable internet access on the island of Sumatra.
MyRepublic Indonesia Chief Executive Officer, Timotius Max Sulaiman, said that the implementation of ULO in Medan is part of the company's commitment to supporting the growth of the digital economy in the Sumatra region.
"We see great potential on the island of Sumatra. The presence of MyRepublic Air in Medan is a tangible step to expand access to quality internet that can drive productivity and digital transformation in various sectors," said Timotius.
Meanwhile, MyRepublic Indonesia's Chief Technology Officer, Hendra Gunawan, explained that the Uji Laik Operasi includes a thorough testing of network performance, connection stability, latency, and end-to-end service quality according to technical parameters set by regulators.
"The implementation of ULO in Medan is part of MyRepublic Air's national expansion strategy. With the technical readiness that has been verified, we are optimistic that this FWA service can be expanded on a scalable and sustainable basis in various regions of Indonesia, including Sumatra," explained Hendra.
MyRepublic Air is a FWA-based connectivity solution with speeds up to 100 Mbps and affordable prices, starting at Rp. 100 thousand per month.
This service is expected to be an alternative to quality internet access, especially in areas that have not been fully served by fiber optic networks.
