JAKARTA - Xiaomi is listed as the market leader for smartphones in Indonesia throughout 2025. This dominance is recorded in the latest report revealed by Omdia, a technology research institute.
Based on Omdia's report, Xiaomi became a smartphone vendor that holds 19 percent market share in the country. With this percentage, Xiaomi occupies the first position, beating other mobile phone manufacturers.
According to Xiaomi, this success is driven by their strategy in reaching various consumer segments. In addition, Xiaomi is also focused on improving the performance of Poco, the company's sub-brand, to strengthen their dominance.
"This achievement is the fruit of our commitment to bringing inclusive innovation," said Xiaomi Indonesia Country Director, Wentao Zhao, in a statement received by VOI, quoted on Thursday, February 19.
This year, Xiaomi will focus on their vision called 'Human X Car X Home'. Through this vision, Xiaomi wants to integrate their smartphones, transportation, and home devices into one ecosystem.
From all the devices they develop, the mobile phone becomes the main gateway in controlling other smart devices. Therefore, Xiaomi is committed to continuing to improve the functions of its mobile phone to make it more interactive and intuitive.
"Our focus in 2026 is to ensure that every interaction in the Xiaomi ecosystem feels natural and adaptive to daily routines. We want technology to be a support that works behind the scenes," said Wentao.
One of Xiaomi's efforts to improve the functionality of its mobile phone is to present the latest operating system (OS), namely HyperOS 3. This OS will be designed as a link between various different devices in one seamless control.
This OS also includes Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to understand the lifestyle of users in Indonesia. That way, the transition between devices can run without obstacles to create a smart lifestyle.
