Google has changed the appearance of the Tools menu on the Gemini mobile website. The company added a Labs section to highlight the parts that are experimental features.
With this change in appearance, Google wants to make it easier for users to distinguish between stable features and features that are still in active development. This also makes the Tools menu display more organized than before.
Now, the menu is divided into two parts, namely the standard features and the experimental part with a chemical glass labeled Labs. The Labs section now houses new capabilities such as Agent, Dynamic View, to the Personal Intelligence feature.
Personal Intelligence is available to all paid users. Users will also find a new button to set whether Gemini can access connected apps or not.
With this button, users can control their privacy data in a conversation. Users can also disable access to personal data if their request does not require information from other Google applications.
This personalization button setting only applies to the current chat session. The system will automatically reactivate access when the user starts a new chat on a different page.
For now, the new tool menu update is available on the web version. We haven't been able to see its latest look on the Gemini mobile app.
