JAKARTA - IBM as the Official Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud partner for the Grammy Awards for nearly a decade, announced the launch of GRAMMY IQ built with IBM watsonx.
By leveraging AI-based technology, this new solution transforms The Recording Academy's vast collection of music industry data into an interactive quiz that tests the knowledge of music lovers.
IBM also plans to continue designing AI-based solutions that can automate workflows and deliver a more personal and engaging digital experience for The Recording Academy members, prospective members, and millions of music fans around the world.
"This collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation, creativity, and appreciation for the artists and stories that shape cross-generational culture," said Adam Roth, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships at The Recording Academy.
Through this collaboration, The Recording Academy and IBM are bringing fans closer to the music they love, by leveraging AI and The Academy's collection of music industry data that spans across genres and generations.
For the 2026 GRAMMYS, IBM also plans to work with the GRAMMY Museum to bring back Musical Crossroads, an interactive experience on the museum's fourth floor that leverages watsonx.
Through this interactive experience, visitors can explore the works and journeys of artists and music from nearly 200 genres. Thus providing a new way for music lovers to understand the rich and complex history of the music industry.
In addition to these, IBM plans to continue developing ways for The Recording Academy to improve its digital membership process for its more than 30,000 members. These efforts include updates to the member portal as well as the provision of translations in 4 additional languages.
"We are excited to collaborate to bring a more personal and engaging digital experience to The Recording Academy members and millions of music fans around the world," said Jonathan Adashek, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at IBM.
