JAKARTA - Meta will test a new service to access various exclusive features on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. This service will be introduced as a subscription premium package.

Launching from TechCrunch, this trial will be opened in the coming months while still maintaining a free service. This paid package will later open various productivity, creativity, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) features on various platforms.

Of the various exclusive features that will be offered, one of the interesting ones is the integration of an AI agent named Manus. This agent was just acquired by Meta for 2 billion US dollars or around (Rp33.5 trillion).

In addition to Manus, users will also get premium access to an AI-based short video creation feature called Vibes. Although initially free, Meta will implement a freemium system with additional video creation quotas for paid customers.

On the Instagram platform, paid features will include the ability to see a list of followers who don't follow back. Subscribers will also get the ability to create an unlimited audience list as well as view other people's Instagram Stories anonymously.

Meta explained that all of these exclusive features will be separate from the existing Meta Verified program. If Meta Verified focuses on the blue checkmark badge for creators, this new service is more aimed at users as a whole.

The company said that they will receive feedback from the community during the trial period. This is done to ensure that the features offered are attractive enough for users to be willing to pay every month.
