JAKARTA - Playground Games officially announced that Forza Horizon 6 will be released on May 19, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Microsoft Store and Steam.

However, the developer revealed that owners of the premium edition will be able to play the game early starting May 15, 2026. The PlayStation 5 version is also confirmed to follow in the same year.

Announced during Xbox Developer_Direct on Thursday, January 22, Playground Games also showcased new gameplay featuring the Japanese landscape as the main location of the Horizon festival.

The studio also introduced two cars as cover vehicles, the 2025 GR GT Prototype - which made its debut in the video game world - as well as the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser.

Forza Horizon 6 will feature the largest map in the history of the Horizon series, with a combination of rural areas, mountains, and the big city of Tokyo, which is claimed to be five times larger than the city of Guanajuato in Forza Horizon 5.

In terms of content, the game provides more than 550 cars at launch, complete with new customization features such as livery painting on glass, body kits, a new racing class R Class, and cosmetic tire wear effects.

Forza Horizon 6 will be available from day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass for Xbox and PC users. Meanwhile, pre-orders have opened with a special bonus of a specially modified Ferrari J50 exclusive car.
