Starlink Brings Back 100Mbps Internet Plans in the US at Different Prices

JAKARTA - After withdrawing the Residential 100Mbps internet package in the US, SpaceX is seen bringing back the Starlink service. However, this was the cheapest package that had increased in price.

This cheapest package is now priced at 50 US dollars (Rp845 thousand) per month or an increase of 10 US dollars (Rp169 thousand) from the previous price. This package is only available in certain areas that have excess network capacity.

In addition, this package is also available in areas with a small number of users. Some areas that can access this service package include Omaha, Nebraska, and parts of Nevada, Indiana, and Maine.

With the return of this service, the Starlink Residential product is now divided into three levels. The three categories are Residential Max, Residential 200Mbps, and Residential 100Mbps.

The highest level, namely Residential Max, offers download speeds of up to 400Mbps. Customers of this package will get additional benefits in the form of a free mesh Wi-Fi system and access to rent a Starlink Mini parabola without charge.

Meanwhile, the Residential Lite package has now been renamed to Residential 200Mbps at a fixed price. Although the price has not changed, the maximum download speed is now limited to 200Mbps from the previous 250Mbps.

The availability of this new package depends heavily on the geographical location and user density in each region. In areas where the internet network is already very dense, SpaceX only offers the highest package and requires additional fees for new customers.
