So Official Partner, TikTok Will Broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup Matches

JAKARTA - FIFA announced its collaboration with the TikTok social media platform, to broadcast original 2026 FIFA World Cup content in the US. This application owned by Bytedance, also serves as the main platform for fans and creators to interact throughout the tournament.

FIFA's Preferred Platform agreement with TikTok is built on the innovative collaboration that the two parties have already carried out for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The live broadcast of the event generated tens of billions of views.

Running until the end of 2026, this partnership also opens up significant opportunities for official FIFA World Cup 2026 Media Partners on TikTok. This includes the ability to broadcast live parts of matches, post selected clips, and access special content produced by FIFA for TikTok.

Broadcasters will also be able to monetize their FIFA World Cup coverage through TikTok's premium advertising solutions. Finally, TikTok will implement anti-piracy policies that support and protect FIFA's intellectual property.

"FIFA's goal is to share the excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. To realize this mission, we are making TikTok the first Platform of Choice for this tournament," said FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström.

This Preferred Platform partnership will be supported by TikTok's 2026 FIFA World Cup hub, which will allow fans to discover engaging content with match ticket and viewing information, as well as participation incentives such as special stickers, filters, and gamification features.

For the first time ever, FIFA and TikTok will also build a creator program that will give a select group of global TikTok creators access to watch behind-the-scenes moments of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, such as press conferences and training sessions.
