The beauty and household needs categories recorded the highest growth, increasing by around 710 percent, driven by high demand for essential products.

Meanwhile, the fashion category grew by around 610 percent, where sports shoes and apparel, with running and basketball shoes dominate as sports trends such as marathon running increase.

Meanwhile, during the 12.12 shopping festival, the home and hobby category also experienced growth of around 540 percent, and the electronics category recorded growth of around 230 percent.

"We see customers buying products that are really functional and durable, ranging from household electronics such as televisions and premium kitchen equipment such as non-stick pots, to tools for do-it-yourself (DIY) needs," said Lazada Indonesia Commercial Director, Erika Agustine.
