JAKARTA Sony Electronics introduces the fifth generation Alpha 7 (A7 V), a full-frame mirrorless camera. This camera comes with support for the latest CMOS Hospital Exmor sensor partially stacked 33.0MP.

A7 V uses the latest BIONZ XR2 M1 image processor that utilizes the Artificial Intelligence Processing Unit (AI) from the Alpha series. This AI unit integration makes autofocus speed, accuracy, and reliability (AF) increase.

This camera also brings improved performance on Real-time Tracking. In addition, there is also an improvement in Real-time Recognition AF to 30 percent which supports instant subject recognition and maintains a high-precision focus.

Thanks to the combined partially stacked Exmor sensor at CMOS Hospital and BIONZ XR processor, the Sony A7 V Camera is capable of producing high image quality. This is evident from the minimal distortion.

This camera is also capable of blackout-free continuous shooting up to 30 frames per second (fps) with AF/AE tracking. This speed is supported by tracking of up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second. In 14-bit RAW mode, this capability continues to work.

The A7 V is also equipped with Pre-Capture, a capability that can record up to 1 second before the shutter button is pressed. This feature is very helpful to capture important moments or subjects with difficult-to-predictive movements.

In terms of AI utilization, this camera uses AI-based Auto White Balance. This feature takes advantage of advanced situation analysis and deep learning for natural and stable color reproduction.

In video capabilities, A7 V presents additional 4K recording mode. This includes 7K oversampled 4K 60p recording in full-frame mode. A 120p 4K recording is also available in APS-C mode.

Finally, A7 V will support 6E GHz Wi-Fi for wireless transmission. Although already introduced, this camera will only be available in Indonesia by the end of December. Sony will open a pre-order period from 5 to 21 December 2025.
