Android 16 E-Reader Now Available In Colored Version

JAKARTA - Just weeks after ViWoods shocked the market with the world's first AiPaper Reader an e-book reader running Android 16 the company is back with more ambitious moves. His latest product, AiPaper Reader C, now comes with a colorful E Ink screen, providing an interesting alternative for users who want a more visually rich reading experience.

AiPaper Reader C replaces Carta's monochrome panel in the previous model with a colored E Ink screen. Although the resulting color is still not as bright as the LCD panel, this technology offers a better visual context for certain content.

Comics, drawing books, children's literature, or PDF documents with graphs and diagrams can now appear more lively than the gradicle version. The consequences, such as on other colored E Ink devices, the level of text sharpness decreases slightly, so that letters and fine lines will not be as sharp as in monochrome models.

Despite changes to the screen, the design and hardware still maintain the same formula as the first AiPaper Reader. This device has a 6.13-inch screen, 6.7mm thickness, and weighs only 138 grams, making it easy to carry anywhere.

Specifications are also identical: 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as 4G support via data-only SIM card.

This feature is rarely found in general e-readers and gives more flexibility, allowing users to sync books, download apps, or use AI services without relying on Wi-Fi. Special AI tombols are also present, allowing users to quickly call AI assistants on the pages being read.

From a ViWoods point of view, the presence of Aipaper Reader C is not a matter of replacing the previous model, but rather offers a different compromise. For readers who need versatility and colored content, this model offers added value.

However, for those who prioritize maximum sharpness in reading long texts, monochrome screens remain a more ideal choice. Nonetheless, the rapid appearance of this colored variant shows ViWoods' ambition to position itself seriously in the e-reader market, which has been dominated by big players like Amazon and Kobo.

AiPaper Reader C is pegged at a price of $349 and is now available through official ViWoods stores as well as a number of third-party retailers, including Amazon, which has started displaying listings for these colored models. With this expansion, ViWoods further clarifies its development direction: presenting modern reader devices that are not only concise and minimalist, but also rich in features and ready to follow the rapid development of the Android world
