JAKARTA - Not long ago, 3/I ATLAS became popular because scientists from the University of Harvard suspected that the object was alien technology. However, NASA believes that this object is a comet.
To show NASA's findings over the past few months related to the object, NASA will host a live event on Wednesday, November 19. At the event, NASA will share the latest image of cometary interstellar 3I/ATLAS.
All of these images were collected on a number of space missions. The US space agency said that the ATLAS 3/I exhibition will be held at NASA's Goddard Space Aviation Center located in Greenbelt, Maryland.
3/I ATLAS is a foreign object that has just entered the solar system in the middle of this year. The comet was discovered by the ATLAS observatory, short for the Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System, which NASA funded on July 1.
Although the comet poses no threat to Earth, it made its closest approach to Mars. The comet flew within 19 million miles of Mars in early October.
