JAKARTA - Groq, a global pioneer in AI-inference technology, announced that it has partnered with Equinix to build Sydney's largest high-speed AI inference infrastructure with a 4.5 MW-capacity Groq facility.
This collaboration utilizes Equinix's International Business Exchange (IBX) data center in Sydney and features Groq's LPU Inference Engine, AI computing technology that is claimed to be faster, cost-effective, and easy to scale.
"The world doesn't have enough computing capacity for everyone to build AI. That's why Groq and Equinix are expanding access, starting from Australia," said Jonathan Ross, CEO and Founder of Groq.
This infrastructure will later offer up to 5x faster computing power and costs lower than traditional GPUs and hyperscaler clouds.
By leveraging Equinix Fabric, software-defined interconnect services, organizations in Asia-Pacific will benefit from safe, low-latency, and high-speed interconnectivity, with full control and guaranteed compliance.
