JAKARTA Jack Dorsey, one of the founders of Twitter, supports the project to revive the Vine application, which used to be popular. The app's livelihood project is named diVine.

When this app is recovered, there will be more than 10,000 video archives that can be accessed. Later, this platform will not only display clips recovered from Vine. Users can also create profiles and upload their own new Vine videos.

Funds for the diVine project of Jack Dorsey's nonprofit organization called 'and Other Stuff'. The organization focuses on funding experimental open source projects and devices that have the potential to revolutionize the social media ecosystem.

One of the people who played an important role in the birth of the diVine was Evan Henshaw-Plath, a former Twitter employee. The 'and Other Stuff' member, along with his team, managed to explore the unused Vine archive since its platform closed in 2016.

The videos were recovered from old reserves stored by the Archives Team as large binary files, around 40-60 GB. Henshaw-Plath took the initiative to write big data scripts to extract the old content.

Henshaw-Plath also managed to reconstruct around 150,000 to 200,000 clips from around 60,000 creators. Although many archives were recovered, diVine gave freedom to the original Vine creator.

Creators can send deletion requests if they want their videos removed from the diVine archive. They can also verify account ownership by showing access to social media accounts connected to their old Vine bio.

In addition to restoring copyright, diVine will have features that are very different from its old platform. The platform will have strict policies on content generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Unlike social media applications in general, diVine will tag Gen AI's content and prevent it from being uploaded online. To verify the authenticity of content as man-made, Henshaw-Plath leverages the technology from the Guardian Project.
