Jakarta Xiaomi is rumored to be accelerating the launch schedule of its newest flagship cellphone, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which is said to be carrying the largest camera sensor ever in the smartphone world. The latest rumors from a Digital Chat Station tipter on Weibo say this device could launch in China in December 2025, ahead of its usual schedule.

Usually, the Ultra variant comes about five months after the standard model is announced. For example, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra rolled out about five months after the Xiaomi 15 series was released. However, if this leak is accurate this time, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could arrive much sooner, even before the end of the year. Even so, its inaugural launch seems only for the Chinese market, while the global release is likely to take place in early 2026.
