JBL Launches BandBox, AI-Based Smart Speaker And Amplists For Musicians

JAKARTA JBL Indonesia introduced JBL BandBox, a series of artificial intelligence-based smart amplists and portable speakers (AI) designed for beginners to professionals, which will be available from December 2025.

The two models launched, namely the JBL BandBox Solo and JBL BandBox Trio, are equipped with various advanced features, ranging from real-time vocals and instruments, JBL typical sounds, as well as digital training tools.

The essence of BandBox innovation lies in Stem AI technology, which allows users to separate or remove elements of vocals, guitars, or drums from any song directly on the device without an internet connection.

With this technology, both novice and professional musicians can use their favorite songs as customizable backing tracks, bring full control in training and creating.

"We realize that many people in Indonesia have a hobby in the music world. This bandbox can help to train and improve skill performance. Another benefit is that the speakers of this all-in-one music system are equipped with amplifiers, effectors, mixers, resonant music so that users can play music without the need for additional equipment," said Kazuo Sawachi, Country Manager of Consumer Audio, HARMAN Indonesia on Wednesday, November 12 in Jakarta.

JBL BandBox Solo

Equipped with Stem AI technology, this device is able to separate or remove vocals and instruments from songs in real-time without internet connection. Solo presents the sound of 18W RMS-powered JBL with full-range design, complete with guitar effects, default model amps, as well as training features such as tuners, loopers, metronomes, and drum machines.

All functions can be controlled through the JBL One app, including the effect navigation via a large pixel LED screen. The device also supports the USB-C connection for live recordings to DAW and can serve as Bluetooth wireless speakers.

JBL BandBox Trio

Designed for small music or band groups that require greater flexibility. Powered by 135W output, Trio has key features that include Stem AI, built-in guitar and microphone effects (including reverb and delay), as well as a 4-channel mixer for level settings and sound character.

Trio also offers training features such as tuners, loopers, drum machines, and metronomes, as well as 10-hour battery that can be replaced. With an intuitive control and a USB-C connection for recording to DAW, this device can function as a monitor speaker or connect to the PA system.
