JAKARTA – Samsung Electronics has officially launched Samsung Wallet, a digital wallet integrated directly into Galaxy phones. This app aims to simplify various digital transaction processes.

With Samsung Wallet, users can store various items digitally. They can manage membership cards, flight boarding passes, and even digital car keys directly from their phones.

For this initial launch, Samsung Wallet is only available for premium phone users such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy S25 Series. The app can be downloaded through the Google Play Store or Galaxy Store.

While availability is still limited, Samsung plans to expand this service to more Galaxy devices. However, it was not stated whether the app will be expanded to mid-range or entry-level devices.

Selvia Gofar, Head of Group MX Category Management at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said that Samsung Wallet is an all-in-one solution. This app is also considered to alleviate the confusion of managing too many physical cards.

"Samsung Wallet provides a premium experience in collaboration with leading brands. This is combined with reliable security from "Samsung Knox, making digital life easy," said Gofar in a statement received by VOI on Thursday, November 6.

In this launch, Samsung Wallet stated that it is collaborating with several well-known brands. They are also partnering with digital car key providers such as BMW, Mini, and BYD.

Samsung stated that all sensitive user data will be stored in an isolated environment called Secure Element. This environment provides additional protection from digital and physical hacking threats.
