The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) has temporarily frozen the TikTok Electronic Organizing and Systems List Sign (TDPSE). This was done because of the problem of providing data.

According to a statement from the Komdigi, TDPSE was blocked because TikTok did not fulfill its obligation to provide data in accordance with applicable laws. TikTok only provided some TikTok Live data during the demonstration period from August 25 to 30, 2025.

Initially, TikTok was given a deadline of September 23 to submit Live data in full. However, through an official letter on the same date, TikTok stated that it could not provide the data because of internal policies and procedures.

The data requested by Komdigi includes traffic information, live broadcast activities, and monetization data in the form of number and value of gift administration. A number of these data were requested because there were allegations of Live monetization from an account indicated by online gambling activities (judol).

"The main concern is an indication of misuse of live streaming features for illegal monetization, including allegations of online gambling that have the potential to endanger children and adolescents," said Komdigi's Director General of Digital Space Supervision Alexander Sabar, confirming to VOI.

Alexander stated that all PSEs must provide their Electronic and Electronic Data Systems to the Ministry. This policy is recorded in Article 21 paragraph (1) of the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Number 5 of 2020.

By not complying with this rule, Komdigi took firm action. Despite being blocked, Alexander explained that this suspension only had an impact on the administrative system. During this suspension, TikTok can still be accessed.

"TDPSE embedding is an administrative step in supervision and is different from terminating application access. During the suspension, the TikTok service can still be used by the public, even though legally its status is inactive as a registered PSE," said Alexander.

Alexander also explained that TikTok communicated actively after the registered PSE suspension was carried out. He also guarantees the revocation of non-active status if TikTok has complied with his party's request.

"TikTok has communicated and coordinated to provide constructive solutions for fulfilling obligations. If this obligation is fulfilled, the freezing status can be restored immediately," said Alexander.
