Samsung Presents Android 16 Globally, Here's The List Of Devices And Launch Schedules

JAKARTA Since mid-September, Samsung has started expanding the launch of Android 16 to a number of older devices. This operating system (OS) comes through the One UI 8 firmware update.

This update will continue until next November to all product lines, both cell phones and tablets. This launch will be extended from a newer device, then to the devices previously launched.

Currently, a number of Samsung flagship devices have received Android 16 updates. Here's a list of devices that have received the One UI 8 update.

In addition to the list of devices above, Samsung will launch Android 16 to more devices. The following is a list of devices that will certainly get system updates in October and November according to Samsung's shared schedule.

While the One UI 8 update doesn't bring major design changes like Android 16 on Pixel devices, many new functions are added. One UI 8 will focus more on functional updates with feature refinement.

Some of the new features that stand out are the expansion of Now Bar and Now Brief to more Galaxy devices. The multitasking feature will also be improved with a 90:10 split screen mode for faster inter-app displacements.

In addition, there is a significant improvement in AI and camera capabilities. AI-powered Portrait Studio features have been added and camera controls improved overall. Galaxy tablet users will also get updated notification designs and Fast Panels.
