Realme GT 8 Pro Will Come With A 200MP Camera And Ricoh Collaboration

JAKARTA - After preparing to launch Realme 15 series on September 15 in China, Realme is rumored to be immediately shifting its focus to the latest Realme GT 8 series line. This series will include Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro, both of which are expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Interestingly, the latest leaks from Digital Chat Station (DCS) and Smart Pikachu tipsers revealed important details regarding the GT 8 Pro camera, including exclusive collaboration with Ricoh.

According to a DCS leak, the Realme GT 8 Pro will come with a square-shaped camera module design placed in the top left corner of the phone. This module is expected to accommodate three camera sensors with flagship class configurations.

The camera setup is said to include a 50MP main camera, juxtaposed with a 200MP telephoto periscope camera which is expected to be able to provide extraordinary optical zoom capabilities. Meanwhile, the third sensor is most likely a 50MP ultra-wide camera, although details have not been disclosed.

Realme Collaboration With Ricoh

Smart Pikachu Tipster added that Realme will collaborate with Ricoh, a well-known Japanese camera brand. This collaboration is said to bring Ricoh's 'Negative Film' color style and a humanistic photography approach to GT 8 Pro's shots, which is expected to provide a more artistic photography experience for users.

In addition to the camera, the leak also revealed a number of important specifications from GT 8 Pro. This device is said to be using a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED screen made by BOE, with 2K resolution, thin bezels on all four sides, as well as support for an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor below the screen.

For performance, GT 8 Pro will rely on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is combined with a battery with a capacity of nearly 8,000mAh. This phone is also rumored to carry additional features such as x-axis linear motors, dual speakers, and Realme UI 6-based Android 16 operating system.

Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to officially launch in October 2025 in China, before it is likely to be released globally in other markets. With the Ricoh collaboration and high-end camera specifications, GT 8 Pro is predicted to be one of the flagship smartphones with the most capable photography capabilities of the year.
